Blank Slate Meditation

Instructions

  • In a place where you will not be disturbed, sit comfortably.
  • Choose one or two sources of subtle focus.
  • Examples
  • Sound; of a consistent and predictable nature:
  • The vibration of an aquarium filter.
  • The sound of a small dehumidifier.
  • A pool filter running just outside.
  • A metronome.
  • A running fountain.
  • A trickling stream.
  • Mental visuals:
  • The heart of a fire.
  • Campfire
  • Fireplace
  • A candle’s flame
  • Light reflecting on moving water (a stream, swimming pool, lake).
  • The lights of a Christmas tree in a darkened room.

You’re looking for something which requires a small amount of effort to focus upon. Just enough to give your mind something to do, but nothing of enough interest to you to trigger an opinion or significant thought about it. 

Allow yourself to be guided in choosing what you might focus upon. If you try one, and it’s not working for you, simply shift your focus to another. You can do this during the meditation, but keep the switching to a minimum. 

I will often choose a source of sound along with a mental visual that does not match, such as: 

-The sound of the air moving inside my office air conditioner. This requires listening through layers of sound, so it holds my attention fairly well, making it easier to let go of focus on thoughts. 

-I will couple this audio input with a mental visual such as staring past the outer aspects of a small campfire, to the very heart of it. I find the blending to be beneficial.

  • Set a low volume timer for 10 to 20 minutes. 
  • Choose instinctually what feels right for you on that day.
  • Close your eyes.
  • Decide that you are simply going to let all of the thoughts you’ve been pondering be set aside. Your objective is simply to focus upon the subtle stimulation you’ve selected, allowing your mind to just rest during this time.

*You are not reaching for anything, simply allow your mind to slip away into the vibrational distraction of the subtle input.

*This includes letting any questions or dilemmas. Just let them go.

  • Do not get frustrated when you find yourself getting wrapped back up in your thoughts. Just let them go and refocus upon the stimulation.
  • At some point, you’ll feel a sort of detachment, like a distancing. Stay there as long as you can. 
    • It is in this state that you become open to thoughts coming in to you. You will notice that it does not feel the same as thoughts being offered by you.
  • When this happens, no matter how subtle, or seemingly insignificant in nature, savor it. Think about it throughout your day, in somewhat of a celebration of your perceiving guidance from The Collective.

*Be careful not to think limiting thoughts around it, or its potential to expand. It is even advantageous to ponder that this will expand as you go forward.

  • The more you savor this, allowing yourself to notice your appreciation of it, the more it will come, and the clearer it will get. 
  • Five things have happened here:
    1. You’ve allowed your own vibration to do what it will do naturally when you stop pulling it down with down-pulling vibration (thought); it has risen.
    2. In the slowing of the momentum of the vibration you are offering, in the form of thought perhaps with subsequent emotion, you are making room, if you will, for vibration, thought and subsequent emotion, to be offered to you.
    3. You’ve attained a level of allowing, versus forcing. Allowing is the only way one will learn how to hear The Collective for themselves. You cannot make this happen.
    4. You’ve begun to realign with the whole of who you are, which is blended with all that described in this website as the whole of The Collective.
    5. You have chosen that upon which you will focus.

Once you have honed this ability a bit, you are positioned perfectly to begin intentional co-creation with The Collective; to begin noticing their assistance of you in this regard.

Process the following: 

“I am choosing what I am focusing upon.”

“I am not having it chosen for me.”

“I’m not responding to any outside input.”
“I am choosing my focus in this moment.”

The more you process these, the more significant they will seem. Once this feels natural to you, it is then much easier to bridge the gap between 

“I am choosing what I am focusing on, which is very little, in this physical moment.”

and- 

“In this physical moment, I am choosing to focus on what vibrationally IS. (That which is vibrational, born of your desire.)

“So, what humans would call their future, in what The Collective calls your past, is that present moment, in which you are choosing to focus where you are going; on what is in vibrational holding for you.” -The Collective

Once you’ve really got this down, you’ll be able to process easily and with significant meaning to you:

“I am, in this moment, in my vibrational now.”

By this time you will be getting clues, unique to your own path of least resistance, as to the vibrational essence of what that will be like in physicality. (This will be incredibly enjoyable to you.)

  • To practice Blank Slate Meditation daily is very beneficial in learning to perceive what is offered by The Collective.
  • To combine it with Energy Raking, as you feel inspired to do so, is like adding a power boost to its benefit.
